Kannawidan Intayon Ilocos Sur!


The Kannawidan Festival is an annual celebration in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, commemorating the province’s founding on February 2, 1818. In 2025, the festival commenced on January 28 with a grand opening featuring a 30-minute fireworks display.



A highlight of the festival was the Miss Ilocos Sur 2025 pageant, where Joanna Francez Batalang from Banayoyo was crowned the winner. This pageant is a longstanding tradition, showcasing the beauty and talent of women from various municipalities within the province.  


 Throughout the festival, each town and city set up booths to exhibit their unique products and cultural heritage, offering visitors an immersive experience into the rich traditions of Ilocos Sur.
